Stephen Roddy – Secondary Principal
Mr. Stephen Roddy grew up in the Gig Harbor area and attended Pacific Lutheran University, where he earned his Secondary Education degree.  After spending two years in the Tacoma School District as a middle school teacher, Stephen’s strong Gig Harbor roots and desire to serve in Christian education brought him to Lighthouse in 2002.  Over the years he has taught 5th and 6th grades, as well as middle school history. In 2009, Stephen received his Master’s degree and principal’s certificate from City University. He currently teaches eighth grade history along with his administrative duties.

Stephen has been married for seven wonderful years to Amy and has a jubilant three-year-old, Jadyn, and a new little girl, Kalli.  He enjoys sports, reading, and virtually all outdoor recreation activities. Tim Hoy - Elementary Principal/Campus Administrator
Mr. Hoy graduated from Cedarville University (high honors) and Dallas Theological Seminary. He has a total of 12 years of experience as an educator. Distinctively, he became the Superintendent of Tacoma Baptist Schools at 30 years of age. He has also served as an interim youth pastor and has received a national award for public speaking.

Born in Cambodia, his family escaped Communist rule and immigrated to America in 1981.

Tim loves to work on home improvement projects, gardening, playing sports (basketball, softball, volleyball, tennis), hiking and camping with his wife and children.
