Elementary Principal
Cindy has always lived in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She and her husband raised their four children in the same Kitsap County home they currently reside atop Mathisen Lane. They immensely enjoy the friendship and ongoing family ties with their young adult children, including the addition of two sons-in-law. Cindy began her professional career in early childhood education. The Lord opened a variety of venues for teaching and learning. In addition to early childhood education, Cindy found great joy in home schooling, special education preschool, elementary and middle school classroom teaching, and community outreach. She has taught in both public and private schools with pre-kindergarten through adult learners. She has also been previously called to school administrative leadership positions within other regional Christian schools. Cindy received her Bachelor of Arts in Education degree from Western Washington University. She holds a Master’s degree in education, with focus on curriculum, instruction and assessment, from Walden University. She maintains administrative certification from Western Washington University, as well. After having taught two wonderful and memorable years at Lighthouse Christian in third grade, Cindy could not be more grateful to the Lord for her new position as assistant principal and approaches it with a dedicated heart and mind to serve LCS families.

Director of Technology & Facilities
A transplant to the Pacific Northwest in the late 1980s, Jon was born and raised in the small Northern Minnesota farming community of Fertile. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a second major in Aviation Administration from The University of North Dakota’s John D Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences. In his first career, Jon earned his Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and flew professionally for a number of years, but getting married and becoming a father caused him to reconsider his career choice. He came to the conclusion that in order to be a good husband and father, the extensive travel schedule of a pilot had to end. God honored that decision and provided new opportunities to work in the I.T. industry which eventually led to his current position as Director of Technology and Facilities at Lighthouse. He believes that providing quality Christ-centered education to our children is a crucial step in making positive changes in our culture and the world. Jon and his wife reside in Gig harbor and have three daughters.
