Elementary Spiritual Life

CHRIST-CENTERED

Lighthouse Christian faculty and staff are spiritually mature believers who are passionate about fostering faith and spiritual growth in all students. We believe that God is the source of all truth, and there is no dichotomy between faith and academics. Our elementary program seeks to demonstrate the harmony between Biblical truth and academic subjects, nurturing our students to think and live from a Biblical worldview.

Chapel is a weekly highlight at Lighthouse! Our students enjoy a lively, heartfelt time of singing and worship, followed by a time of focus and prayer for the missions we support. Engaging speakers from area churches teach and guide our students in understanding the Scripture. Select LCS student groups/grades also minister through dramas and presentations during the year, aligned with our annual Chapel theme. Students also participate in special assemblies and programs such as Veterans Day and Pastor Appreciation Day.

In addition to daily Bible lessons and weekly chapels, students also develop hearts for community service as they participate in local service projects such as the FISH food bank and visiting retirement homes, and globally, reaching out through worldwide missions and in sponsoring our sister school in Liberia through All God’s Children.

Lighthouse students have numerous opportunities to grow their faith and learn about the service of others:

  • Various chapel service projects
  • Special missionary speakers
  • Student mentoring groups
  • Quarterly community service projects
  • Partnerships with local and global organizations
  • Student-led fundraisers
