Spiritual formation is a main focus at Lighthouse Christian. The foundation laid in the elementary years continues as students grow and mature throughout middle school.
Middle school students participate in daily Bible classes where they learn to know and love God more fully. In these classes, students explore the Bible, grow their faith and learn how to apply Biblical principles to their daily lives. Our students focus on discipleship in gender based groups, learn to live out their faith and model selflessness while meeting Community Service requirements. Seventh graders walk through each book in the New Testament, while Eighth graders focus on Jesus – who He is, what did He say, the Apologetics, and discovering answers to how does “He want me to live my life?
Spiritual life at Lighthouse also includes a dynamic mid-week chapel — an hour-long program focused on spiritual and community life where students gather to learn more about God in a practical and lively setting. Youth pastors from area churches, Lighthouse teachers and area high school students share the reality of their faith in Jesus Christ and invite a response from the middle school students. Chapel provides opportunities for students to apply and share their faith with others.
At least once a quarter, students K-8 meet for All-School Chapel. Veterans Day, Christmas, Easter and other special days give opportunity for the entire student body to appreciate each other and to learn about God together.
